Epping – Chatswood Rail Link Tunnel – Sydney
Noise assessment – Heggies, NSW
To reduce the noise level within the tunnel
Treatment was placed on one wall. It was found not to meet the noise requirements so it was then re- assessed and further treatment was specified.
This included treatment placed on the opposite side of the tunnel wall and Quietstone Track standard bespoke panels between the rails.
The panels acoustically out performed the requirements set and were robust enough for the future traffic they would have to endure.
The result was extremely successful
